What Are Credit Card Hackers?

Hackers break into computers or computer networks for a variety of reasons. Some do it illegally for profit, some are paid to do it legally, and others simply do it for the challenge. Credit card hackers, however, do their dirty deed with only one thing in mind—stealing your credit card information to make money.

Ever heard of Lush, the handmade cosmetic company that sells all sorts of interesting bath and shower products? Their UK website was recently hacked and may have exposed the credit card information of every customer that purchased a product online between October 2010 and January 2011.

Once customers started posting on Lush’s Facebook page that their stolen credit cards had been used to make unauthorized purchases, the company eventually decided to shut down the entire UK site and issue an email on January 21st notifying everyone that was potentially exposed to the breach. Of course, Lush isn’t the first retailer to fall victim to hackers. In re Read more…

Why Is Delta’s Award Redemption Calendar Still Broken?

If you own a Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, the odds are good that you book frequent flights with Delta. After all, you earn free miles with every purchase that you make with these cards. The SkyMiles cards are typical American Express products: They offer generous rewards programs and several perks.

When it comes to redeeming the points you earn with these cards, though, there’s a problem. And it’s not the fault of American Express.

You can blame this one on Delta. Search frequent flier forums across the Internet and you’ll read the same verdict: Delta’s Award Redemption Calendar is nearly impossible to use.

If you want to see just how frustrating the center is for users, just visit this thread at the flyertalk forum. In it, a user discusses in detail how consumers can find low-tier rewards when they’re redeeming their points. The problem is, users shouldn’t need a detailed guide full of tricks. Finding low

Discover Spending Monitor Says Consumer Confidence Is Up

Consumer confidence is up … but spending intentions remain flat, says the latest Discover U.S. Spending Monitor. The Monitor is a poll of 8,200 consumers which tracks confidence and spending intentions on a daily basis, with results released monthly.

The poll shows the highest level of consumer confidence (rated at 93.1) since November 2007. Yet, that’s not as optimistic as it looks at first glance. Only 10 % of consumers rate the economy as “good” or “excellent,” and more than half (51%) still rate it as “poor.” Thirty-seven percent of consumers polled say the economy is “fair,” a 3-point increase from last month.

Optimism Highest Amongst Middle Income Consumers

It’s the middle class, says the report, who are driving the optimistic statistics. Thirty-two percent of middle-income consumers (making between $40K and $75K annually) feel the economy is getting better; this number is up 7 points from December.

Meanwhile, 38% of middle income consumers says their finances are good or excellent. This number is up 6 p

With the Verizon iPhone preorder already in full swing, it’s only a matter of time before the whole world will seem to own one.  New users will quickly find that the word “smartphone” falls well short of adequately describing the capabilities of these mighty mini-machines from Palo Alto.

The convenience of the iPhone 4 is nowhere more apparent than in the credit card industry.  There’s a plethora of highly useful apps that pertain to finance and credit cards, so grab your iPhone, slide your finger over to the app store, and download one of these handy programs.

Square

Square is a truly amazing app that allows vendors to swipe their customer’s credit cards from anywhere. Once you download the free app, you’ll also receive a free magnetic credit card reader that connects to your iPhone through its headphone jack. The app processes the transaction and sends the receipt to the customer’s email address, making the process completely paperless. The only price Read more…

Applying for a Woodcraft credit card won’t be easy. The reason for this is that they do not accept applications online. This means that you will have to visit a store and fill out an application to mail in, or call their toll free number and apply via phone.

Woodcraft is a franchised woodworking tool and supply retailer that provides a variety of items for men and women who are in the woodworking business, or who participate in woodworking as a hobby. You will find everything from woodworking plans to workbenches and hardware when you visit a store in person or online. Compare other credit cards that are available online, now!

If you are new to the world of wood crafting, you may find that many of the things you need come with a high price tag. Many people attempt to negate this cost by using retail credit cards that allow them to make payments. T
